Chapter 6 Guiding Questions

1. I know that Plutonium is number 94 on the periodic table. I also know that it is used in many nuclear weapons.  Plutonium is also synthesized in a lab rather than created naturally. It might also be named after the planet Pluto.

2. Henry Moseley was a physicist who created the concept of the atomic number. Moseley used X-ray spectra to study the atomic structure. He saw the mathematical relations between the number of protons and the atomic number.

3. They probably had uranium in Tennessee because they were studying its nuclear capacity and were determing how to create an atomic bomb. They merely discovered the missing element by accident.

4. Both uranium and plutonium are used for nuclear power. Uranium and Plutonium are also expensive and dangerous. Uranium and Plutonium are also elements located on the periodic table. Plutonium, however, is synthesized due to its scarcity on earth. Plutonium and Uranium are also different elements on earth.

5. A  cobalt-60 bomb is much worse than a uranium bomb because its effects are much more stronger than the uranium bomb. They also use gamma rays which make it very deadly.
It has the power to destroy the human race. Some even say that this caused the dinosaur's demise.
